April 2025 data shows the U.S. import share of Chinese apparel dropped 3.5 percentage points year-on-year to 13.1%, while Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Bangladesh, etc.) rose to 49.8%. Vietnam’s textile exports grew 22% YoY in May, Cambodia’s apparel exports increased 29%, while leading Chinese textile manufacturers like 儒鸿 (Eclat) and 聚阳 (E-United) saw May revenues decline 8%–9% YoY.
